All branches of physical science demonstrate the fact that every completed manifestation, of whatever kind and on whatever scale, is started by the establishment of a nucleus, infinitely small but endowed with an unquenchable energy of attraction, causing it to steadily increase in power and definiteness of purpose, until the process of growth is completed and the matured form stands out as an accomplished fact.
— Thomas Troward, The Edinburgh and Dore Lectures on Mental Science
It has been 106 years since Judge Thomas Troward delivered his lectures on mental science, and in that time science has confirmed many of his ideas, while others seem as mysterious as ever. Like many pioneers in New Thought, Troward taught that the general tenor of your thoughts has the power to create your life. If you believe, as Troward did, that every thought is capable of establishing a nucleus — the very beginning of a complete form — then you realize the importance of choosing the best-feeling thought in any situation. It’s awe-inspiring to imagine that every positive thought I choose creates that nucleus, that tiny piece of matter which already has all the information it needs to show up as fully formed “stuff” in my world. Troward reminds me that my only job in life is to focus on that which I desire to create, and then focus on it some more.
It is my intention to focus on creating outrageous success for my clients — whatever that looks like for them. Together, we can figure out what you want to create for your business, whether it’s more sales (and it’s always more sales!), a more focused visual message or a renewed sense of pride in your image.
Here’s to new beginnings!
Mike already knows this, but Troward profoundly affected my own view of the world, too. In a writing from the same book quoted above, Troward talks about a universal law of nature provides good to all who avail themselves of it. Knowing this simple fact, why wouldn’t we choose to align ourselves with it? However, for any number of reasons, we’re often our own worst enemy. We create impediments to our own success and wear our failures like a badge.
It’s time to recognize what you have to offer the world, and then get to offering it. I’m excited to see the results!
