I’ve been enjoying Jay Conrad Levinson’s classic Guerrilla Marketing, which is a fantastic primer for new businesses and a fabulous refresher for those who have been doing this for a while.
At an earlier phase in my career, I was doing a lot of magazine ads for clients that I didn’t interact with personally. “Make my phone number larger” was the No. 1 request I received via their account reps to complete the ad design.
I recommend to all my clients that they keep one great photo of themselves on hand at all times. If you don’t have such a photo, I offer photography services, or I can help you find a great photographer in your area. Do not settle for that blurry picture taken on your friend’s cell phone!
